The Church of Earth Healing promotes the healing of Mother Earth through spiritual and religious means, based in a pantheistic, polytheistic world view. All Creation is a manifestation of the Divine; Earth, our home, is the grounding of all Creation.

We hold a vision of the world and all her inhabitants as whole: spiritually, socially, physically, and ecologically. We are dedicated to planting spiritual seeds of transformation, healing, self-empowerment, love, and balance, through a ministry of teaching, healing, and pastoral guidance.

The Church offers celebratory rituals and services honoring the Earth-centered ways of our ancestors, including a weekly shamanic drumming circle which was founded in 1989 in Athens OH, and a second shamanic circle founded in 2014 in Ithaca NY.

Bekki Shining Bearheart, founding clergy, and other clergy trained in the practices of the church, offer pastoral counseling and private healing. Bekki offers a wide variety of courses in shamanism, an ancient healing modality based in Spirit and widely used by the ancestors, and other spiritually based healing and divinatory practices. She has trained a group of advanced shamanic students to teach Fundamentals of Shamanism, the Church’s foundational course in shamanic journeying.

A Message from Rev. Bekki

It is with great sadness that I inform friends and associates, and other interested individuals, that Crow Swimsaway passed from this earth plane on April 7, 2018. Crow enjoyed phenomenal health for most of his 81 years, maintaining the vigor of a much younger person. but contracted an inflammatory lung condition in late 2017, which worsened over the winter. In early March he was hospitalized with the Ohio Veterans Administration, and did not recover.

I will continue the work of the Church. Dragon Waters, our beloved home for over 3 decades, which has hosted many of our church functions, is in the process of becoming home to one of our long-time students and dear friend, and will continue to function as the sanctuary it became under our stewardship. It will also continue to host some of the events we have facilitated over the years, and to be a welcome respite and retreat for friends and students.

Thanks to all who have supported our work for the last 3 decades. I hope you will continue to find spiritual aid and guidance through these offerings.
